“I grew up working in our family towing company, which was eventually acquired by a private equity group. That gave me the entrepreneurial bug—I knew I wanted to build something again,” says Shane.
The inspiration for SpraySafe Pest Control came from a personal place. “My wife was constantly getting bitten by mosquitoes, and that led me down the rabbit hole of mosquito control.”
Shane’s curiosity soon became a passion. He studied mosquito biology with a company on the East Coast and worked hands-on for a pest control business in Imperial Valley, California, learning every aspect of the trade—from fieldwork to regulations to customer care.
“I immersed myself in every aspect of the business and eventually decided it was time to launch SpraySafe Pest Control with my wife by my side,” he says.
