A Season of Spectacle

Holidays Shine Bright at Universal Studios Hollywood

There’s something undeniably magical about Universal Studios Hollywood during the holidays. The air feels just a bit crisper, the lights a bit brighter, and the laughter – well, that rings out just about everywhere. Beginning November 24, 2025, through January 4, 2026, the famed theme park transforms into a holiday wonderland, inviting guests to celebrate the season with the return of cherished favorites and new surprises that make every visit sparkle.

At the heart of the park, Universal Plaza becomes the center of holiday joy with the return of “Grinchmas™” – a wildly whimsical celebration straight out of Who-ville. Towering above the festivities stands the spectacular 65-foot Grinchmas tree, its topsy-turvy branches glowing with thousands of LED lights and hundreds of ornaments in every color imaginable. Each evening, as snow flurries dance through the air, guests gather for the beloved tree-lighting ceremony accompanied by the harmonies of the Who-ville singers – a moment so joyful it could make even the Grinch himself grin.

All around, there’s something to delight both children and the young at heart. Families can cozy up for story time with Cindy-Lou Who, snap photos with the Grinch™ and his loyal dog Max, or mail a postcard at the Who-ville Post Office pledging three good deeds – a heartwarming tradition that captures the true spirit of the season. The land brims with laughter, twinkling lights, and the aroma of Who-tacular treats, creating a picture-perfect setting for festive memories.

Just beyond the hills of Who-ville, “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™” casts its own enchanting spell. Hogsmeade village glows beneath garlands and wreaths as the Frog Choir fills the air with a cappella carols. Wandering wizards (and muggles, too) can shop for enchanting gifts, savor a steaming mug of hot Butterbeer™, and await the moment when Hogwarts™ Castle comes alive in a breathtaking light projection show. “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” is a visual masterpiece – the castle bathed in dazzling light and music from the Harry Potter films, creating an unforgettable close to a day steeped in holiday wonder.

For gamers and adventurers, the holiday spirit also extends to the Mushroom Kingdom at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™, where Mario and Luigi’s world dons a winter look. Two jolly snowmen – one wearing Mario’s red cap, the other Luigi’s green – greet guests at the entrance beside a shimmering tree crowned with a Super Star. Inside, fans can collect limited-edition digital Power-Up Band™ stamps and browse exclusive holiday merchandise at the 1-UP Factory™ – fun souvenirs for any Nintendo enthusiast.

And just beyond the park gates, Universal CityWalk Hollywood continues the celebration with its own seasonal dazzle.

A 40-foot Christmas tree adorned with over 200,000 LED lights serves as the centerpiece, surrounded by live music, DJs, and festive street performers that bring even more cheer to the holiday nights.

As the year draws to a close, Universal Studios Hollywood is already looking ahead to 2026 with thrilling new attractions – including the highly anticipated “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” roller coaster. But for now, it’s all about the joy of the season, where snowflakes fall, hearts grow, and memories shine as bright as the lights across Universal’s skyline.

Because this holiday season, there truly is no place like Universal Studios Hollywood – where every visit feels like The Best Day in L.A.
